ENTERTAINMENT: DON JAZZY REVEALS HOW HE SQUANDERED HIS EARLY EARNINGS FROM MUSIC.

The CEO of Mavin Records Michael Collins Ajereh known as Don Jazzy had revealed details about spending his early music earnings and shared insights into how he built lasting financial security

Speaking on On The Grind podcast this weekend, Don Jazzy admitted his first big payday from music didn’t go into investment – it went into the club. “The first big money I got from music I lavished it. I bought 50 bottles of champagne and went clubbing. But I quickly coordinated myself and invested in signing new artistes. Now I don’t have to work ever again.”

He said that wake-up moment changed everything. He started putting his next earnings into signing and developing new artistes, staking in record labels and other businesses, learning skills. he’s even learning forex trading as at now.

That switch, he said, is why his catalog and businesses now pay enough that he no longer needs to work to survive.

Don Jazzy’s advice to young creatives is thus: “You don’t necessarily have to invest in a record label, but the money you are making in your youth, invest it in a lucrative business as opposed to wasting it on frivolities.”

Don Jazzy’s statement matches what he previously said earlier this year in an interview that he can afford a private jet or any car he wants, but he chooses to invest in people, family, and knowledge instead: “Nothing beats investment, including investing in yourself.”
