Afrobeats giant Davido has put a price tag on the long-rumored Davido x Wizkid joint world tour.
Speaking on IONWANNATALK show on Sunday Nov 1, OBO said a joint world tour with Wizkid would be a guaranteed sellout everywhere, but he’s charging premium: “If we tour together, I’ll ask for $500,000 per show because I know every venue will sell out.”
He admitted they’ve gotten offers for years to do it.
But when it comes to a joint song Davido is less confident: “If Wizkid and I do a song together, I don’t know if it will pop because when D’banj and 2Baba did a record together, it didn’t really pop.”
He revealed they haven’t recorded together in about 10 years, not because they can’t make music, but because they’ve not been in the same mental space. He also touched on how opinions are split – some fans think the beef made both of them bigger, others think a collab would boost them more.
He added that he has matured past the old back-and-forths.
No concrete tour or song announced yet, and Wizkid hasn’t responded, but the comment alone has reignited FC vs 30BG timeline debates – if that tour price is even possible, and whether the classic song would slap or flop.
