Governor Sheriff Oborevwori recently attended the 51st birthday and unveiled the Cubana Millennium City, a luxury real estate and commercial project by Chief Obinna Iyiegbu popularly known as Obi Cubana in Asaba, Delta State. Cubana Millennium City, a premium mixed-use development described as “the Jewel on the Niger” and envisioned as the “Banana Island of the South-South and South-East”.
Located along the Benin–Onitsha Expressway by Witchtech Junction, close to the Airport, Asaba, the estate includes Master-planned community with luxury homes, commercial districts, smart-city infrastructure, green zones, entertainment clusters, hospitality facilities, and premium security
Governor Sheriff said in a statement:
“This development is not just about housing; it is about creating a new economic ecosystem. Projects like the Cubana Millennium City will significantly transform Asaba, extending growth and opportunities across neighbouring communities and strengthening our position as a key urban hub in the South-South and South-East corridors”.
The estate is expected to stimulate growth, attract investors, create thousands of direct/indirect jobs, boost SMEs, and expand local supply chains. Obi Cubana assured that the first phase will be ready for occupation by December.

The Asagba of Asaba, Prof. Epiphany Azinge, also commended Obi Cubana’s investment drive, saying it’s reshaping Asaba’s outlook and boosting investor confidence.
