ENTERTAINMENT: WANDE COAL REMAINS SILENT ON RUMOUR OF HIS CONVERT TO ISLAM.

Afrobeats veteran Oluwatobi Wande Ojosipe professionally known as Wande Coal celebrated his 41st birthday on October 18, 2026, but the celebration was overshadowed by viral reports that he had converted to Islam.

A video from Wande Coal’s birthday celebration surfaced on social media on Sunday, October 18, showing what appeared to be an Islamic gathering at his residence with prayer mats laid out, guests in traditional white attire and caps typical of Islamic gatherings and Wande Coal seen mingling with family and others.
Music executive Bizzle Osikoya appeared to confirm the reversion. When a social media user questioned the video, Osikoya replied with two words: “He reverted.”

The term “reverted” is commonly used by Muslims to describe accepting Islam, based on the belief that it is a return to humanity’s original spiritual disposition.

Multiple reports identified his Muslim name as AbdulGaniyy Ibn Ojosipe though this has not been independently confirmed.

As of the latest reports, Wande Coal himself has not publicly commented on the reports or confirmed his religious affiliation, so the circumstances remain unclear.
