744 repentant terrorists have completed rehabilitation under the Federal Government’s Operation Safe Corridor programme.
The Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher Musa, confirmed the figure during a stakeholders meeting in Abuja.
The 744 are part of 789 ex-combatants currently undergoing the De-radicalization, Rehabilitation, and Reintegration (DRR) programme.
Breakdown of the 744 Ex-insurgents shows that two are from Abia State, 10 from Adamawa State, one from Akwa Ibom State, two from Anambra State, 12 from Bauchi State, 597 from Borno State, three from Ebonyi State, one from Enugu State, 15 from Kano State, three from Katsina State, one from Kebbi State, five from Kogi State, four from Nasarawa State, two from Niger State, two from Plateau State, two from Sokoto State, and 58 from Yobe State. 4 are from Niger Republic, 2 from Chad, 1 from Cameroon and 1 from Burkina Faso. 733 of them are Muslims and 11 Christians.
The 744 will now be reintegrated into their states, with CDS urging governors, local and traditional authorities to monitor them. They will also receive personal items and start-up packages to establish small businesses and rebuild their lives.

Olufemi Oluyede said to the graduates at the event.
