“The reward for work well done is the opportunity to do more. Thank you HE Senator Monday Okpebholo for the opportunity to continue serving Edo people, now as Special Adviser on Tourism and Creative Economy.”
She added:
“In just little over a year, I’ve been given a promotion to do more for my state, and I am extremely grateful. My open-door policy remains — feel free to reach out to me with your tourism and creative ideas for the state. Together, let’s take Edo to the world.”
She also urged other celebrities appointed by governors to “truly answer the call and do the job” and go back to their states to serve.
The state government said the appointment is part of its focus on tourism, cultural heritage and the creative economy as drivers of economic growth.
Edo is positioning itself around the return of the historic Benin Bronzes, the opening of new museums, and its growing entertainment industry, including film, music, fashion, visual arts and hospitality.
