ENTERTAINMENT: 44 CLOTHING CEO EVELYN FOUND ALIVE & SAFE AFTER GOING MISSING.

CEO of 44 Clothing, Evelyn Onyema has been found safe and reunited with her family after being missing for about 2 days in Lagos. Evelyn was last seen around Bonny Camp, Lagos, with her boyfriend, Derrick on Monday, October 19.
Human rights activist Harrison Gwamnishu raised the alarm on Wednesday, October 21, 2026, after her family said she had been unreachable for two days. He flew from Asaba to Lagos to join the search.
On that same day, Gwamnishu confirmed via video call with her brother and a friend:
“44 Clothing is alive and has safely returned home. Her brother and a friend just had a video call with me to confirm the news. She will explain to the police what transpired.”

In a video shared by Gwamnishu on October 21, Evelyn broke down and apologized to her family and fans:
“I’m really sorry to my family and friends for allowing my emotions to get the best of me. A day before my disappearance, a blog made a post, and my boyfriend, Derrick, accused me of being the one sending information to the blog. Despite everything I’ve been going through, I now have to deal with heartbreak as well.”

She went on to say friction with Derrick had been building for about a month and she was triggered, had no phone or means of communication. She had checked herself into a hotel to decompress before returning home.

Gwamnishu said he questioned her over going silent for days and took her to Victoria Island Divisional Police Headquarters to explain what transpired. He also criticized Derrick for allegedly leaving her stranded on a bridge late at night without her phones.

Panic had spiked when a video of a female body floating in a Lagos waterway circulated online. Gwamnishu dismissed the claim it was Evelyn, said he paid divers and boat operators to retrieve the unidentified body, and police are investigating. He urged anyone with a missing female relative to report to Bonny Police Station.

A voice note where Evelyn pleaded with Derrick not to end their relationship had also circulated online before her return, prompting Derrick’s sister to publicly defend him.
