Relationship influencer Blessing CEO has spoken out days after regaining freedom, denying that she is a drug addict.
Blessing was released Saturday, October 24, 2026 after about 4 months in Kirikiri Prison. She had been arraigned by the EFCC on June 9, 2026 on fraud-related charges – including alleged N69.15m, N36m and N13m cases involving a property lease she allegedly misrepresented and a breast cancer fundraising controversy. She pleaded not guilty.R
In a video call with Nollywood actress Doris Ogala that Doris shared on Instagram on Oct 25, Doris told her that while she was in detention, claims spread online that Blessing was on drugs, that people should not send her money because she would use it for drugs, and that she needed rehabilitation.
Blessing’s response:
“Yes, mama, I don’t smoke, I don’t drink and I don’t even party.”
“I don’t do drugs. I don’t smoke, I don’t drink, I don’t even party. Most times the internet just has a way of enjoying themselves. A lot of people don’t even know me personally.”
She said the allegations were pure social media speculation from people who have never met her.
The drug allegation was notably pushed by social activist VeryDarkMan, who had claimed she needed rehab rather than financial assistance. Blessing said those claims don’t reflect her actual lifestyle.
Her fraud cases are still before the court and are adjourned till October 26.
