Nollywood actor Tayo Amokade, popularly known as Ijebu, has called for the arrest of content creator King Mitchy over her alleged suicide attempt on TikTok live. Ijebu expressed concern that King Mitchy’s actions, drinking household cleaning products like hypo, could influence young viewers negatively and promote self-harm.
Speaking on an Instagram video Ijebu urged the police to take action against anyone promoting or attempting suicide on social media, emphasizing that Gen Z content creators should be role models, not bad influences.
“Good morning everyone, I want to pass this message to everybody, especially to our police. I’m begging the police in charge of social media, that are monitoring the use of social media that we have children between age 10 and 21 that have access to social media. I don’t know when hypo that is meant to bleach toilet, clothes or used to clean our house turned to a drink all in the name of I want to end all, I want to commit suicide, I’m depressed. So, if someone is now depressed, the solution is to take their life.
I’m urging the police to start the arrest of anyone attempting to commit suicide because all this Gen z has a lot of followers. They are supposed to be a role model not bad influence. Please I’m begging the police to arrest anyone that comes online all in the name of I want to end it all. She was seen during the Tiktok live drinking hypo in presence of her associates”.
King Mitchy’s management announced she allegedly took her life due to social media attacks from VeryDarkMan and his fans, but a hospital later denied her death reports, vowing legal action.
