merican Twitch streamer IShowSpeed just turned 21 and hit a major milestone – 50 million subscribers on YouTube on Wednesday, January 21 and he celebrated this achievement while streaming live from Lagos, Nigeria, surrounded by fans. Ishowspeed is now the first Black individual creator to reach this milestone.
Speed’s Africa tour which began on Monday December 29, 2025, has been a hit, with stops in several countries, including South Africa, Angola, Kenya, Senegal, Morocco and now Nigeria. In Angola, he played football with 100 children, in South Africa he did a race against a Cheetah, fastest land animal, he then visited the Masai community in Kenya, before watching the 2025 AFCON final live in Morocco and celebrating with the winning team, Senegal in Dakar on their parade. Now in Nigeria, Ishowspeed visited a lot of places in Lagos, African most populous city, starting from Balogun market on Lagos Island. He even tasted Nigerian jollof rice and declared it the best he hss had.
Interestingly, Nigerian online streamer, Peller was reportedly blocked from meeting IShowSpeed during his Lagos visit raising tongue wagging online by Nigeria. On the other hand, Jarvis, Peller Ex, got to hang out with him.
