Afrobeats heavyweight Damini Ogulu known professionally as Burna Boy kicked a couple out of his Denver concert for allegedly sleeping during his performance. The incident happened on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at the Morrison, Colorado concert.
The “Last Last” crooner noticed the couple sleeping and paused his set, asking the guy to take his girlfriend home, saying it “pisses him off” to see someone sleeping while he’s performing. “When I stand up here and see you over there with your girl sleeping in the front of me, it pisses me the fk up. So, please, take her the fk home… Walahi I’m not performing another song till you go home,” he fumed.
The couple initially resisted leaving, but eventually exited the venue after the crowd joined Burna Boy in urging them to go. Burna Boy refused to continue performing until the couple left, he resumed his performance.
This isn’t the first time Burna Boy has made headlines for ejecting fans from his concerts. He has previously kicked a fan for rushing on stage citing post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) as a reason for his reaction and another for not dancing during his performance.
The controversy surrounding this incident has sparked debate about artist-audience dynamics and performance etiquette. Some people have called out the Artiste for kicking out people who buy tickets for his show saying it’s not a good thing.
