Current Champions Paris Saint-Germaine lost 2 – 1 to German Champions Bayern Munich, Luis Diaz scoring twice in the 4th and 32nd minute and then getting sent off in the added time of first half for a reckless challenge on Achraf Hakimi which saw the Morroccan being withdrawn from the game for an injury.
