SPORTS: EPL: NOTTINGHAM FOREST APPOINTS SEAN DYCHE AS NEW MANAGER.

Nottingham Forest has appointed Sean Dyche as their new manager, replacing Ange Postecoglou who was sacked after just 39 days in charge. Dyche, a 54-year-old Englishman, has signed a contract until the summer of 2027 and brings a wealth of experience from his previous roles at Burnley and Everton.

Dyche’s contract runs until June 2027, indicating a long-term commitment from the club. Before this appointment, Dyche managed London side Watford in the 2011/12 before being dismissed due to a change of ownership he then managed Burnley for 10 years, between 2012 and 2022 guiding them to promotion twice and securing European qualification, and later managed Everton from January 2023 to January 2025 being dismissed for a run of bad results that saw the Toffees winning only 3 of their 19 games and battling relegation.

Dyche’s first match in charge will be against Porto in the Europa League on Thursday. He will be joined by his coaching team, including Ian Woan and Steven Stone, both former Nottingham Forest players.

Nottingham Forest announced his appointment by praising him on their website with the quote:
