The Delta State Police Command has arrested a 52-year-old suspected drug peddler, Dennis Uruma, in Asaba. He was driving a truck with registration number 3BGT 18LG, conveying large quantities of suspected illicit drugs. The arrest was made on October 2, 2025, by operatives of the Eagle Net Special Squad, led by SP Danyaya Yunusa, in collaboration with the Office of the Executive Assistant to the Delta State Governor on Illicit Drugs and Human Trafficking Bright Edafe, Public Relations Officer of Delta Police reveals to the public.
Dennis Uruma, 52, from Igalamela Local Government Area of Kogi State. Large quantities of suspected illicit drugs were recovered from the truck. Counting and measurement of the seized exhibits are currently ongoing as investigations progress.
Recently, The Delta State Police Command has recorded multiple operational breakthroughs in Asaba, resulting in the arrest of suspected armed robbers, cultists, and drug peddlers. In total, five suspects were arrested in three separate operations, with two locally made firearms and large quantities of suspected illicit drugs recovered.
