The Africa Peace Sports Festival is scheduled to kick off on November 15 in Delta State, with a total of ₦10 million earmarked as prize money for participants. The festival aims to promote peace, unity, and sportsmanship among the youth, featuring various activities such as Mini football,nGym competition, Scrabble, Snooker, Table tennis, Fuss-football (demonstration game), and Chess (demonstration game)
The mini football competition will feature two categories – Under 25-45 and 46 and above, with strict adherence to the rules of the game.
The festival will provide a platform for the Nigeria Mini Football Association’s scouting delegation to identify and recruit talented players into the national team.
The festival has previously brought together athletes from across the country, promoting unity and showcasing Nigeria’s young sporting talent.
The festival’s initiator, Ambassador Sheriff Mulade, and the Local Organising Committee Chairman, Edema Fuludu, have expressed their commitment to making the event a memorable one, promoting peace and unity among the various ethnic nationalities in Delta State.
“With about ₦10 million up for grabs and several consolation prizes, the Africa for Peace Sports Festival is poised to be an unforgettable experience,” he said.
