Popular Comedian Bovi, has finally opened up about his split with fellow comedian Basketmouth. According to him, the reason for their parting ways is his desire for financial independence. Bovi explained that after collaborating on stage, he realized he couldn’t continue sharing earnings with Basketmouth, especially since his solo shows at Eko Hotels were often fully booked.
“I easily get bored doing something for too long, so I try something else. As you know, I went back to TV because I wanted to build my own brand. When I host shows at Eko Hotels, it fills up. So, why should I go and share money? Why should we be many doing one show?” Bovi said.
He says he wants to focus on his own brand and financial growth, rather than sharing revenue with colleagues. He stated that his priorities have shifted, and he’s now more focused on spending time with his family and advancing his career in filmmaking and television.
Bovi emphasized that there’s no animosity between him and Basketmouth, and they’re still on good terms, but their interests have diverged.
“Basketmouth and I are cool. Nothing happened. Interests changed. I wanted to focus more and spend more time with my family, and also to elevate myself.” He clearly stated.
