ENTERTAINMENT: BURNA BOY CHOOSES HIS FOOTBALL G.O.A.TS.

Burna Boy, the Nigerian Grammy Award-winning artist, has made headlines for naming his top three football Greatest of All Time (GOATs), snubbing global superstars Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo in the process. According to Burna Boy, the top three football GOATs are
Austin “Jay-Jay” Okocha a Nigerian football legend known for his exceptional dribbling skills, creativity, and flair. Okocha was a key player in Nigeria’s Africa Cup of Nations victory in 1994 and won the BBC African Footballer of the Year award twice, Brazilian Ronaldinho, football icon renowned for his creativity, tricks, and happiness on the pitch. Ronaldinho won numerous titles, including the Champions League, Copa Libertadores, and Ballon d’Or in 2005.

Okocha and Ronaldinho both played for Paris Saint Germaine between 2001 to 2003 and both are said to be skillful players no doubts about that as they entertained spectators on the pitch with their dazzling football skills traumatizing defence.

Burna Boy then chose Victor Osimhen, current Nigerian international striker who has made a name for himself in Europe, winning the African Player of the Year award and guiding Napoli to their first Serie A title in 30 years.

Burna Boy’s choices reflect his personal opinion on the matter, and his decision to include Okocha may be influenced by their shared Nigerian heritage. These selections were made during an appearance on the YouTube series “GOAT Talk” hosted by Complex, where celebrities debate the best and worst of various topics.
