Bright Morgan and Thelma Lawson have been evicted from the BBNaija Season 10 house and not during the usual Sunday eviction show. The unexpected announcement came shortly after the Saturday night party, when the show’s host, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, made an unannounced visit to the house.
After a brief conversation with the contestants, Ebuka revealed that Bright and Thelma would be leaving immediately, bringing their BBNaija journeys to an end.
The double eviction marks a major shake-up in what has already been a week filled with tension, strategies, and power shifts. Thelma had just begun exploring a budding connection with fellow housemate KayBobo, while Bright’s sudden exit leaves his in-house romance with Mide hanging in the balance.
The surprise nature of the eviction has sparked conversations, with many comparing it to the now-iconic Saturday eviction of Bam Bam in the 2018 edition.
Earlier in the week, Big Brother introduced a twist that set the stage for the chaos. All housemates, except for Head of House Zita, were tasked with finding a hidden red envelope containing an immunity card. Imisi successfully located the envelope and secured her spot in the house.
Faith was also granted safety after being voted ‘Most Influential Housemate’ by his peers, a new twist this season. Zita, as HoH, was given a unique power to save one housemate after selecting a card from the mysterious Tree of Temptation. She chose to save Rooboy, automatically placing the rest of the housemates at risk of eviction.
With only a handful of contestants immune, the fate of the remaining housemates rested solely in the hands of the viewers. That led to Bright and Thelma being voted out in what has become one of the most talked-about evictions of the season so far.
