The Delta State Police Command recently arrested 10 suspected drug peddlers and recovered a substantial quantity of illicit drugs in a joint operation with the Nigeria Hunters Forest Security Services.
The operation was conducted at a hotel along the Asaba-Benin Expressway in Agbor, where the suspects were found with the illicit substances.
10 suspected drug peddlers were arrested, including the hotel owner, Markwuye Peter.
A substantial quantity of illicit drugs was recovered during the operation.
“On 13th September, 2025, operatives of the Delta State Eagle Net Special Squad, led by the Commander, SP Danyaya Yunusa, in a joint operation with the Nigeria Hunters Forest Security Service (NHFSS), acting on credible intelligence, stormed a hotel situated along the Asaba/Benin Expressway, Agbor.” Bright Edafe Police Public Relations Officer told Reporters.

“The raid led to the arrest of ten (10) adult suspects, including Markwuye Peter ‘m’ of Ifeanchukwu Street, Agbor, identified as the owner of the hotel.
A substantial quantity of illicit drugs was recovered during the operation. The suspects are currently in custody discreet investigations are ongoing to unravel the full extent of their criminal activities.” He further confirmed.
