Brazilian footballer David Luiz is denying allegations of threatening a woman after she refused to participate in a threesome. The woman, Franciska Caroline Barbosa Cavalcanti, a 26-year-old social worker, claims Luiz sent her threatening messages on Instagram, including warnings about his “money and power” and even suggesting she could “pay the consequences” or “simply disappear”.
Luiz, has admitted to messaging Cavalcanti on Instagram but denies making any threats, describing the allegations as defamation.
Luiz allegedly sent Cavalcanti messages stating her son could “pay the consequences” and “I can simply make you disappear”.
Cavalcanti claims Luiz’s threatening behavior began after she rejected his invitation to a threesome.
Brazilian police have seized Cavalcanti’s phone for forensic analysis as part of their investigation.
Luiz is suing Cavalcanti for defamation and has offered her £14,000, which she claims is an attempt to silence her.
David Luiz, 38, won the Champions League, Europa League, and Premier League during two spells at Chelsea, and also played for Paris Saint-Germain, Arsenal, and Benfica as well as the Brazilian national team. He currently plays for Pafos in Cyprus, having left Fortaleza in Brazil at the beginning of August.
He was recently subbed off in the 34th minute on his return to Uefa Champions League with Pafos with an injury in their goalless draw with Greece’s Olympiacos.
