Tiwa Savage recently opened up about a painful past relationship with a fellow celebrity on Joe Budden’s podcast. She described the experience as emotionally draining and deeply disrespectful. According to Tiwa, her ex-partner insisted on keeping their relationship private, which made her feel silenced and unable to confront him about his behavior.
Tiwa’s partner didn’t want their relationship to go public, claiming it would hinder his ability to “work the room” at events.

Tiwa described the relationship as emotionally draining, stating that the disrespect was something she couldn’t tolerate. For Tiwa, the breaking point wasn’t necessarily the infidelity but the level of disrespect shown in the relationship.
“It’s the disrespect, I am a public figure and he is as well. He told me he didn’t want us to go public. He said, ‘When we’re out, I might be talking to other people, but I’m only doing it so people don’t suspect.’ I couldn’t say anything. It was happening right in front of me.” The Singer said.
She shared this story while celebrating the release of her 13-track album, “This One Is Personal,” which explores themes of pain, healing, and growth.
