ENTERTAINMENT: EMOTIONAL MOMENT WHEN HILDA BACI LARGE POT OF JOLLOF WAS CONFIRMED BY GUINNESS WORLD RECORD (VIDEO)

Hilda Baci, a Nigerian celebrity chef, recently shared an emotional moment when Guinness World Records (GWR) confirmed her record-breaking feat for the largest serving of Nigerian-style jollof rice.

The confirmation came via a video call from a GWR official, who congratulated her on achieving a staggering 8,780kg (19,356 lb 9 oz) of jollof rice at the Gino World Jollof Festival in Lagos.

Hilda Baci and her partner, Gino Nigeria, were declared the Guinness World Records title holders for the largest serving of Nigerian-style jollof rice.

The GWR official praised their achievement, saying, “With a total of 8,780kg, Hilda Baci and Gino, you are the Guinness World Records title holders for the largest serving of Nigerian-style jollof rice. Congratulations, you are officially amazing!”.

She expressed gratitude to her team and supporters, stating, “The entire team went above and beyond. It’s my name and Gino on this record, but this record is dedicated to every person who worked on this.

This project was bigger than us. It’s historic.”Baci also shared her joy on social media, posting a seven-minute video that captured the emotional wait with her family and loved ones before receiving the call from GWR.

This feat marks Baci’s second Guinness World Record, following her record for the longest cooking marathon by an individual in May 2023, where she cooked for 93 hours and 11 minutes.

Baci has updated her social media bio to reflect her new status as a “two-time Guinness World Record holder,” with congratulatory messages pouring in from celebrities, fans, and well-wishers.
