Hilda Baci’s Guinness World Record for the largest serving of Nigerian jollof rice has been officially confirmed! She achieved this feat in partnership with Gino Nigeria on September 12, 2025, at the Eko Hotel and Suites in Victoria Island, Lagos.

• Largest Serving of Nigerian Jollof Rice: 8,780 kg (19,356 lb 9 oz)
• Ingredients Used:
– 4,000 kg of washed basmati rice
– 164 kg of fresh goat meat
– 220 kg of Gino Asun & peppered chicken cubes
– 600 kg of Hilda’s pepper mix
• Cooking Time: 9 hours
• Gas Consumption: 1,200 kg
• Number of Plates: 16,600 plates of jollof rice were served to attendees
The event drew thousands of attendees, including celebrities like Funke Akindele and Bamidele Abiodun, wife of the Ogun State Governor.
Hilda’s achievement has brought renewed global attention to Nigerian cuisine and cultural heritage.
This record solidifies Hilda’s reputation as one of Nigeria’s most celebrated chefs, following her previous record for the longest cooking marathon in 2023.In 2023, Hilda broke and set a new record for the longest cooking marathon, cooking for 93 hours and 11 minutes. Although the record was later broken that year, the attempt propelled Hilda’s career to another level, amassing several brand ambassadorships and collaborations.
