NEWS: KIDNAPPED ARMY RESCUED IN DELTA.

Major M.D. Josiah, a Nigerian Army officer who was abducted by gunmen in Bomadi Local Government Area of Delta State, has been rescued.

The rescue operation was carried out by troops of the 63 Brigade, Nigerian Army, in collaboration with community leaders and residents of Bomadi.

The officer was rescued at Tuomor Waterside in Bomadi Local Government Area. Major Josiah was found tied inside a canoe with gunshot wounds on his leg and hand.


The rescue operation involved troops and villagers who tracked the abductors.
The officer has been evacuated to a medical facility for treatment.
Brigadier General M.A. Shonibare, Commander of 63 Brigade, commended the troops for their bravery and tactical prowess.


The commander also expressed gratitude to the people of Bomadi for their cooperation and support, which contributed to the success of the rescue operation.

The Nigerian Army has assured the public of its commitment to maintaining peace and security in Delta State and its environs.
