NEWS: DELTA STATE GOV’T RECEIVES CERTIFICATE RACKETEERING REPORT AT STATE’S POLY.

he Delta State Government has received a report on certificate racketeering at the Delta State Polytechnic, Ogwashi-Uku.

The report was submitted by a committee inaugurated on March 25, 2025, to investigate allegations of certificate forgery and misconduct within the institution.

The committee’s investigation focused on three key areas: conducting an in-depth investigation into certificate racketeering allegations, reviewing the process leading to staff suspension, and making recommendations to ensure institutional integrity.


The investigation revealed that a non-academic staff member, Mr. Nduka Charles, was involved in forging certificates, including a Higher National Diploma (HND) certificate, for personal gain.


The committee’s report details findings and recommendations for disciplinary actions against those involved.

Deputy Governor Sir Monday Onyeme assured that proper action would be taken based on the report’s recommendations, including an executive summary to Governor Sheriff Oborevwori for further actions.

Thev government aims to maintain the integrity of the institution and prevent future cases of certificate racketeering.
