22 year old Xavi Simons has today joined Tottenham on a £51.8m deal from RB Leipzig. Simons who only joined the German outfits permanently in January has now made a move to the premier league.
Simons made 78 appearances for Leipzig scoring 22 goals and assisting 24. Before Leipzig he had played for PSG and PSV Eindhoven before Leipzig.
After completing his medicals and signing his contract he said the move is what he has been dreaming of “been dreaming of this for a long time” he also stated that he is “happy and can’t wait to get going at the club”.
Simons have been targeted by a host of premier league clubs im the past weeks with Chelsea considered to be at fore front but now Spurs have been able to secure his services after missing out on Eberechi Eze who joined bitter North London rivals Arsenal.
Xavi Simons will now join Jõao Palhinha and Muhammed Kudus who had been signed earlier from Bayern Munich and West Ham united respectively.
