Felabration 2026 has wrapped up on Sunday, October 18 with a star-studded closing concert at the New Afrika Shrine in Ikeja, Lagos.
The 7-day festival, themed “Who Are You?”, celebrated the life and legacy of Afrobeat pioneer Fela Anikulapo-Kuti.
The grand finale featured Fela son Femi Kuti who opened the night with an electric Afrobeat performance and his signature saxophone skills. Afrobeats star Kcee then performed hits like ‘Limpopo’ and ‘Ojapiano’, and brought out four masquerades on stage. Next, Sean Tizzle threw the audience into a frenzy with fans singing along to his hits. L.A.X, Barry Jhay, Shoday and others also performed on the closing night
According to the reported programme, the closing concert also featured Kacy, Ay Flowz and Kcer.
The festival ran from October 12 to October 18, with different generations of musicians performing throughout the week. On Saturday, October 17, the lineup included Daddy Showkey, Peruzzi, L.A.X, Barry Jhay, Hotkeed, Ruggedman, Ice Prince and others.
Femi Kuti’s appearance kept the Kuti family connection central to the festival, following his birthday concert on October 15 where he collaborated with Fuji legend Obesere.
