AYRA STARR. Mavins Star Ayra Starr in a recent interview with W Magazine has revealed how a meeting with American Legendary singer Rihanna in Barbados, 2024 helped shaped her in terms of self confidence and self esteem.
Ayra Starr who had been vocal about Rihanna being her role model has said that she was struggling with low esteem and confidence prior to the visit and that Rihanna was ‘God sent’ to her. “The favourite part of the visit was sitting with her (Rihanna) while we watched my music videos and she pointing out her favourite parts.
At that time I was struggling with my self-image and confidence, so that moment meant everything. I felt God had sent her (Rihanna) to me as the visit was one of the most amazing feelings.” Ayra Starr told W Magazine.
Rihanna had also said during the 2024 visit she will like to collaborate with her and fellow Nigerian female Artist and Grammy winner Tems.
