Burna Boy has thrown a verbal jab at Wizkid, challenging him to a physical fight, saying “Na Internet your own power dey” meaning “your power is only on the internet” in English.
This comes after Wizkid criticized Burna Boy for allegedly attacking DJ Tunez, his official DJ, at a Lagos nightclub. Burna Boy claims Wizkid only fights with words online, while he’s ready for a real-life showdown.
“Wizkid come go dey tweet. Na internet their own power dey. We na real life our own power dey. I thought DJ Tunez go call his oga, and his oga go do something or send people but na tweet Wizkid con dey tweet,” The “Last Last” crooner said in pidgin English.
The beef between these Afrobeats stars has been brewing, with Wizkid posting a scathing message on social media, seemingly targeting Burna Boy with one of them which tweets “Ogbafia dey for ground, oil dey your y*nsh” being a response to Burna Boy’s tweet hours after the clash which reads “Ogbafia dey for ground”.
The Nigerian DJ Association has also banned Burna Boy’s music in response to the incident.
