SPORTS: CAF AFCON 2027: NIGERIA EYES 4TH TITLE AS CAF ANNOUNCES DATES.

Nigeria’s Super Eagles are gearing up for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), with the tournament scheduled to take place from June 19 to July 18, 2027, in Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda as announced by CAF on Tuesday April 7.

This will be Nigeria’s chance to claim their fourth AFCON title, having claimed 1980, 1994 and 2013 titles.
They finished Runners up to hosts Cote D’Ivoire in 2023 edition and finished third in the recent concluded tournament in Morocco.

The Super Eagles are expected to be among the seeded teams, with the qualifying draw happening later this year. The qualification matches are set to take place in 2026, with matchdays scheduled for September, October, and November.
