The police have started investigating Blessing CEO’s cancer claims after a petition was filed by human rights activist Martins Vincent Otse known as VeryDarkMan, alleging she obtained money under false pretenses. The Nigerian Cancer Society (NCS) has also demanded a probe, stating that Blessing CEO’s actions are “unethical and detrimental to the fight against cancer in Nigeria”.
Blessing CEO had tearfully claimed to have stage 4 cancer on Wednesday March 25, and solicited donations, but later retracted her statement, saying it was a “miscommunication”. The NCS is urging security agencies to investigate and ensure accountability.
VeryDarkMan on Tuesday April 7, shared on his Instagram that he donated ₦150 to Blessing CEO’s account and is seeking justice.

“I believed her because she shaved her hair and I felt compassion. On that very day, I didn’t have anything left in my account, but I still transferred money to her, There are a lot of people living with cancer.
How can someone come out and joke with something like this? I have written a petition against Blessing CEO and the Inspector General of Police has assigned it for investigation” He said.
