Legendary Nigerian Musician 2Baba has opened up about his personal life, clarifying that he’s a “lover boy, not a womanizer”. He attributes the misconception to people misunderstanding his straightforward nature and love for women. In an interview, he expressed his regret over missing out on time with his eight kids, emphasizing his desire to be a better father.
He also spoke about his marriage to Natasha, dismissing claims that she’s controlling, and describing her as a brilliant and strong woman.
“The biggest misconception about me is that I’m a womanizer. I like women; I’m just straightforward. But I’m a lover boy. I love hard, I have eight kids now. I feel blessed and happy, but the sadness comes from the fact that I haven’t gotten to spend the type of time I should have spent with them collectively.
It does something to me sometimes. They’re amazing, brilliant people, I just wish I was there more. It touches me from all corners, Everybody has a say in everybody’s business now. Sometimes people say very nasty things. You grow thick skin, but sometimes it gets to you. Reality is reality, she (Natasha) is a brilliant woman, a strong woman.”
2Baba also revealed he is a shy individual outside music “My profession doesn’t permit me to be shy, but I’m actually a very shy person. Sometimes I just want to be alone and chill. Other times I want to hang out. I like nature; I have my moments.”
2Baba’s family life hasn’t been without controversy, with his marriage to Natasha sparking debate and his ex-wife Annie Idibia’s family expressing concerns. Despite this, 2Baba seems focused on his new family, recently dedicating their son in church.
