Nollywood actress Uche Ogbodo has sparked a heated debate on social media, claiming that men are responsible for 95% of failed marriages.
Taking to her Instagram the Actress wrote “Men contribute 95 per cent in failed marriages. Many marriages fail because a significant number of men neglect, cheat, devalue, emotionally harm, emotionally stress, or betray their wives.” She attributes this to negative behaviors such as neglect, infidelity, emotional abuse, and lack of accountability. Ogbodo emphasizes that societal norms often enable these behaviors, making it easier for men to evade responsibility.
While some social media users agree with her perspective, citing personal experiences and cultural realities, others argue that marriage failures are usually the result of actions from both partners. The debate highlights the ongoing conversation around gender roles, responsibility, and emotional health within marriages.
Uche Ogbodo is currently in her second marriage to Boby Maris, a man she married in 2023. Her first marriage to Ato Ubby, a football agent who based in Norway crashed in 2013 lasting barely just a year.
