The actress shared the sad news on social media, saying her mother passed away on February 7, 2026, just a day before her birthday celebration. Faithia described her mother as her cheerleader, prayer warrior, best friend, and gist partner, and expressed her shock and grief over the loss.
The birthday party, which was attended by celebrities like Funke Akindele, Pasuma, and Kazim Adeoti, was held on February 8, 2026, in Lagos. Faithia revealed that her family chose to keep the news of her mother’s passing from her until after the celebration, citing her statement, “Unbeknownst to me, my beloved mother died on the eve of my party and the news was cruelly kept away from me”.
