Cristiano Ronaldo has returned to training with Al Nassr, putting to rest rumors of his potential exit from the Saudi club. The 40-year-old Portuguese star was absent from Al Nassr’s recent match against Al Riyadh, sparking speculation about his future. However, Ronaldo has now posted a photo of himself in training, accompanied by Al Nassr’s colors, indicating he’s committed to the club.
Ronaldo’s return comes amid reports of tension between him and Al Nassr’s management, particularly regarding the club’s transfer activities and perceived preferential treatment of rival Al Hilal. Despite these issues, Ronaldo remains central to Al Nassr’s ambitions, having scored 18 goals and registered three assists in 22 appearances this season.
Al Nassr is set to play Al Ittihad on Friday February 6 at Awwal Park. They are currently 2nd on the table behind Al Hilal who are only a point ahead. Ronaldo will be aiming to win his first league title in the Arab league as he had came close twice since joining January 2023 from Manchester United.
