Chelsea FC footballer Mykhailo Mudryk who is currently under a provisional suspension from football has received a one-month ban from FACEIT, a competitive Counter-Strike 2 platform, due to toxic behavior during a match. Mudryk was penalized for using offensive language, including references to the Massacres of Poles in Volhynia and Eastern Galicia during World War II, in response to taunts from Polish opponents about his doping suspension.
Mudryk, who is already facing a provisional suspension from football due to a positive test for meldonium, expressed frustration with the ban, stating that he often encounters toxic teammates, especially when playing with Polish players. The ban is part of FACEIT’s strict moderation system, which issues temporary cooldowns to extended bans depending on severity and context.
Mudryk last played for Chelsea in December 2024 before receiving his suspension over doping case. He lost his squad number 10 to teammate Cole Palmer in June 25 ahead of the 2025/26.
