He shared a heartfelt exchange with his wife, Chioma, who encouraged him to be humble in defeat. “I said baby listen we lost again let’s not go” she said ‘Be humble in victory and gracious in defeat’ we outside,” he wrote. Davido’s father also offered words of wisdom, telling him he’s still a legend regardless of the outcome.
The singer single “With you” featuring Omah Lay lost the Grammy Award for ‘Best African Performance’ on Sunday February 1, to South Africa’s Tyla who won the category for her single “push 2 start” defeating other Nigerian nominees like Burna boy “Love”, and Wizkid and Ayra Starr “Gimme Dat”.
