A 40-year-old man in Agbarho community, Delta State has confessed to defiling two minors ages 12 and 13. The man whose name is Emmanuel Oghenevwogaga is currently in Asaba custody.
Bright Edafe, Delta Police PRO reported the incidence
“We got a report around Agbarho that a certain man was defiling two(2)young under aged girls, one 13 and the other 12. It’s a pity I cannot put the camera on the victims. It’s very sad because when you look at the man here and you look at the victims, you will wonder what has this man found attractive in the bodies of these little girls.” he told reporters.

Emmanuel Oghenevwogaga said he felt bad and remorseful after what he did saying in pidgin english he said: “The thing wey I do e dey bad. In fact, I do wrong. Them nor pull dress, I just remove the pants. Na for my house there” he narrated how he carried out the deed.
This isn’t an isolated incident, as several cases of child defilement have been reported in Delta State recently. In a similar case, a 54-year-old father, Edward Odega, confessed to defiling his three daughters, aged 13, 15, and 24, over a period of seven years. The police have arrested several suspects, including a 32-year-old man, Ezekiel Elijah, who allegedly defiled a 13-year-old physically challenged girl.
These cases highlight the need for increased vigilance and protection of children in the community. The Delta State Police Command has assured that cases of defilement will be treated with utmost seriousness and prosecuted accordingly.
