Anthony Joshua’s driver, Adeniyi Kayode, appeared in Magistrate court in Sagamu, Ogun state on Tuesday January 20, facing charges related to a fatal crash that killed two of Joshua’s friends and team members, Sina Ghami and Latif Ayodele. The incident occurred on December 29, 2025, when the Lexus SUV driven by Kayode collided with a stationary truck on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway. Kayode, 46, is charged with dangerous driving causing death, reckless and negligent driving, driving without due care, and driving without a valid national driver’s license.
The court adjourned the trial until February 25, 2026, to allow the prosecution to review the case file. Kayode was granted bail of ₦5 million ($3,500) with two sureties. Joshua, who suffered minor injuries, has returned to training and is focusing on his recovery.
