He was released on Monday, January 19, 2026, after meeting his bail conditions, which were set at ₦1 million with one surety. Portable maintained his innocence, claiming he was falsely accused by his baby mama, Ashabi Simple, and her siblings, who alleged he assaulted and stole their car.
The singer’s release has sparked celebrations among his fans, who took to social media to congratulate him on his return to freedom. Portable’s wife, Bewaji, also showed support, thanking God for her husband’s release and appreciating her own role in standing by him during his legal troubles.
