Nigeria won six of their seven matches, with their only defeat coming against hosts Morocco in a tense semi-final penalty shootout.
The Eagles’ rise in rankings is a major boost for Nigerian football, highlighting the team’s growth and improvement on the international stage. They are now behind only AFCON winners Senegal (12th globally) and Morocco (8th globally) in the African rankings.
