NEWS: POLICE DENIES REPORT OF MASS ABDUCTIONS AND KILLINGS OF CHRISTIANS IN NORTHERN NIGERIA.

The Nigeria police have denied reports of mass church abductions in the north, specifically in Kaduna state, saying the claims are “mere falsehood” spread by conflict entrepreneurs. The police commissioner, Alhaji Muhammad Rabiu, challenged anyone to provide names and details of the alleged victims, stating that investigations found no evidence of an attack.

However, the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) claims that over 170 worshippers were abducted from three churches in Kajuru Local Government Area of Kaduna State during Sunday services. Rev. Joseph John Hayab, chairman of CAN, said 172 people were taken, with nine escaping, leaving 163 still in captivity.

The local government chairman, Dauda Madaki, also denied the reports, saying security forces found no evidence of an attack. The incident has sparked concerns about insecurity in the region, with the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) blaming the government for failing to protect citizens.
