Rema, Burnaboy, Shallipopi, Phyno, Chella and Yemi Alade found themselves winning big at the 9th AFRIMA awards in 2026 held in Lagos, Nigeria.
Rema stole most awards claiming three different awards from three different categories. Rema the biggest star of the night gave thanks to God, to his teams and then to his fans and he hinted that he is ageing being 25 years now and that he has been winning awards since he was 19 when he dropped “Dumebi” off his Rema EP.

• Best African Collaboration: Shallipopi ft. Burna Boy – “Laho” (Nigeria)
• Best Soundtrack in Movie, Series, or Documentary: Yemi Alade – “You Are” (Iyanu: The Animated Series) (Nigeria)
• Best African Dance/Choreography: Weeha – “Dimama” (Ethiopia)
• Best African Video of the Year: Black Sherif – “Rebel” (Ghana)
• Best African DJ: DJ Moh Green (Algeria)
• Producer of the Year: Nontokozo Mkhize (South Africa)
• Breakout Artiste of the Year: Ciza (South Africa)
• Most Promising Artiste of the Year: Qing Madi (Nigeria)
• African Fans’ Favourite: Chella (Nigeria)
