Chelsea has officially appointed Liam Rosenior as their new head coach on a long-term contract until 2032, replacing Enzo Maresca who left the club on New Year’s Day. Rosenior, 41, brings a wealth of experience from his time at Strasbourg, where he guided the team to European qualification for the first time in 19 years. He’s known for his attack-minded approach and ability to build strong teams.

They will be the foundation of our success.” He stated shortly after his appointment was confirmed by the West London club.
Rosenior’s appointment marks a rare top-level opportunity for a Black British coach in the Premier League, making him the second Black Chelsea coach after Ruud Gullit. His first game in charge will be against Charlton Athletic in the FA Cup. The Blues are currently 5th on the Premier League table, 3 points adrift top 4 and 17 adrift table leaders Arsenal. They are still in the UEFA champions league and in the Semi-final of the English Football League cup where the will be facing Arsenal.
