Tears flowed in London on Sunday January 4, as friends, family, and the boxing community gathered to pay their last respects to Sina Ghami and Abdul Latif “Latz” Ayodele, close friends and team members of Anthony Joshua. The Janaza prayer service took place at the London Central Mosque, with Joshua attending to bid farewell to his dear friends.
Ghami, Joshua’s strength and conditioning coach, and Ayodele, his personal trainer, tragically lost their lives in a car accident on Monday, December 29, 2025, in Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, Ogun state, Nigeria. Joshua, who was also involved in the crash, escaped with minor injuries.
The boxing community is still reeling from the news, with many expressing their condolences to Joshua and the families of the deceased. Joshua himself shared a heartfelt tribute on social media, captioning a photo with “My Brother’s Keeper”.
