The Nigerian Army’s 63 Brigade, under Operation Delta Safe, arrested a 13-member gang in Oshimili North Local Government Area of Delta State and recovered 13 pump-action rifles.
The suspects, including Nwaokonta Elvis, Obi Victor Woke, and Ndibuisi Obiogonna, a native doctor, were arrested following credible intelligence on their nefarious activities. The operation also led to the recovery of additional rifles from purported local vigilantes and hideouts in Umuisiagba.
The Army has handed over the suspects and recovered weapons to relevant agencies for further investigation. Brigadier General Morounfolu Shonibare commended the troops for their vigilance and reassured Delta State residents of the Brigade’s commitment to safeguarding lives and property.
