SPORTS: FOOTBALL: PSG DOMINATES AS FIFA RELEASES BEST’ 11.

Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) has dominated the 2025 FIFA ‘The Best’ 11 Awards, with six players featuring in the men’s team though none featured in the women’s team. For both the Men and Female team, FIFA released a 4-4-2 formation with 4 defenders, 4 midfielders and 2 strikers upfront.

Men’s Team: Goalkeeper: Gianluigi Donnarumma (PSG/Man City/Italy)
Defenders: Achraf Hakimi (PSG/Morocco), Willian Pacho (PSG/Ecuador), Virgil van Dijk (Liverpool/Netherlands), Nuno Mendes (PSG/Portugal)
Midfielders: Cole Palmer (Chelsea/England), Jude Bellingham (Real Madrid/England), Vitinha (PSG/Portugal), Pedri (Barcelona/Spain)
Forwards: Ousmane Dembélé (PSG/France), Lamine Yamal (Barcelona/Spain)

PSG’s dominance is evident, with six players in the men’s team, including Ousmane Dembélé, who won the Best Men’s Player award. Surprisingly Barcelona’s Raphinha and Liverpool’s Mo Salah both missed out despite having a blissful season in the respective clubs and finishing 5th and 4th in Ballon D’or ranking respectively.

The women’s team features a mix of Spanish and English players, with Aitana Bonmatí winning the Best Women’s Player award for the third consecutive year.
