In a candid Instagram video, Laura highlighted the sharp rise in costs for everyday services, using hair braiding as a striking example. She revealed that a hairstyle she used to pay ₦70,000 for before leaving Nigeria is now being quoted at a staggering ₦200,000 with some braiders even suggesting clients should cough up ₦250,000 simply because it’s December.
Describing the situation as “unreasonable,” Laura warned that if these unchecked price hikes continue, they risk taking the joy out of the festive season for many. Her message sparks a broader conversation about fairness in pricing and the impact on consumers enjoying the holidays.
