Inter Miami CF has won the Eastern Conference title, defeating New York City FC 5-1 at Chase Stadium. This victory marks their first-ever MLS Cup Final appearance.
Tadeo Allende led the charge with a hat-trick, while Mateo Silvetti and Telasco Segovia added to the score. Lionel Messi, although quiet, contributed an assist, extending his postseason record to 13 goal contributions.
Allende’s three goals tied the MLS record for most goals in a single postseason.
The team has scored 98 combined regular season and postseason goals, the most in MLS history.
Inter Miami will host the winner of the Western Conference Final between Vancouver Whitecaps FC on December 6 in the MLS cup final. The Canadian club also making it to the final after defeating San Diego FC 3 – 1 on Sunday November 30.
