Eight people lost their lives in a tragic road crash near Emmanuel Alayande University of Education on the Oyo-Ogbomoso Expressway.
The accident occurred on Tuesday, November 25 the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) confirmed on Wednesday morning. 19 people were said to be involved in the accident of which 8 died, and 4 others were injured and rushed to the Oyo State General Hospital for medical attention.
The exact cause is still under investigation, but possible speeding, loss of control, or mechanical failure may have contributed to the crash. FRSC officials responded quickly to the incident, rescuing the injured and conveying them to the hospital.
Mary Alo, the Sector Commander have extended her condolences to the families affected and wished the injured a speedy recovery.
